THE BIG 'WATCH'

PRODUCT DESIGN / ART DIRECTION
THE WORLD'S FIRST HEMP CLOCK
The hemp wall clock was created following the success of Hemp Design Studio's first product, the hemp MVMNT watch. To build on this, the studio aimed to develop a wall clock as a sister product, playing with scale to represent the watch in a larger format while staying true to the studio's playful nature.
A fully customisable minimalist clock made from hemp fibre and pineapple leather.
Standing as a movement towards the use of hemp in a wider context, designed with sustainability at the core. The focus is to showcase the possibilities of eco materials by pushing the boundaries of their uses. Plant fibres form their own unique patterns, making each hemp clock one-of-a-kind. Nature has no straight lines.
VEGAN PINEAPPLE LEATHER STRAPS
We’ve partnered with ANANAS ANAM, producers of Piñatex®, to create a range of beautiful pineapple leather straps.
This is a 100% vegan and organic alternative to traditional animal leather, these watch straps are made from the fibre of pineapple leaves that pile up as a direct result of agricultural waste.
METAL HIGHLIGHTS
THE BIG 'WATCH' is offered in either gold-plated or stainless steel metal hardware with the option of two face colours, charcoal or not-quite-white face.
A clean, modern, stylish clock. The minute markers are not visible, because life isn’t about counting the minutes.
CRAFTED FOR SUSTAINABILTIY
The hemp wall clock is more than just a timepiece – it's a testament to sustainability and adaptability. Crafted with care, I designed this clock to be entirely removable, with nothing permanently fixed in place. Why? Because at hemp they believe in making products that stand the test of time, both in style and function. By allowing for easy repair and adaptability, it  empowers the users to evolve their clocks with them, adding longevity to their investment. This approach not only reduces waste but also fosters a more sustainable lifestyle. With the hemp wall clock, you're not just telling time, you're making a statement about conscious consumption and responsible design.
